Amnesty Peel Kit Featured in Allure Magazine Home Peels Story
"...chemical peels may very well grant you complexion perfection."
Adapted from the Amnesty Peel offered to Spa Phoenix clients, the Amnesty Peel Kit is an AHA/BHA Peel, complete with Neutralizer and 60-second timer, in a Skin Amnesty cosmetic bag. It was recently featured in an Allure cover story on Home Peel treatments.
"They're great for mild exfoliation," says Amy B. Lewis, MD, a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Yale School of Medicine,
"They unclog pores and make your skin feel smoother and look brighter."
Most peels are based on acids: glycolic, lactic or fruit. They are all Alpha Hydroxy acids, and there are important differences among them.
Fruit acids, such as those that make up the multi-fruit acid Amnesty Peel formula, "are by far the gentlest of the acids and have the least potential to irritate skin."
For women with acne, Allure consulting dermatologists recommend peels containing Beta Hydroxy Acid. "Beta Hydroxies are better at dissolving oil," says New York skin specialist, Jeannette Graf, MD. "Salicylic acid penetrates clogged pores without irritating already inflamed skin."
The newest addtion to the Skin Amnesty skin care line created by Dr. Galumbeck, the Amnesty Peel Kit is available at Spa Phoenix, and online at www.skinamnesty.com.
