• The dress comes first, then the hair style and makeup design.

• Take a phone cam pic of you in your dress. Make sure it's a head to toe shot. That way your stylist can see its color, bling and proportions without you having to describe it.

• Dress for your salon hair appointment in a blouse or top that buttons all the way up the front. That way you won't muss up your 'do when you dress.

• Make your salon appointment as far in advance as you can. Proms are typically on a Saturday evening, and Saturday appointments can be difficult to book without advance notice.
